Atletico Madrid keeper Jan Oblak is reportedly set to sign for
Manchester United as Jose Mourinho prepares for David De Gea’s summer
exit.
The Red Devils have shown persistent interest in 24-year-old Oblak
and stories suggest the stopper’s agent has already been to Old Trafford
for negotiations.
The Daily Mirror suggest the Red Devils will push the switch on the
move for Oblak if De Gea completes a transfer to La Liga giants Real
Madrid.
De Gea has repeatedly been linked with a return to Madrid and, while
Mourinho wishes the world-class keeper remains, the club are preparing
for his exit.
Should they be forced to sell, The Red Devils will put a £60million
price tag – a world-record for a shot-stopper – on De Gea’s head and use
much of the money to attract Oblak to the Theatre of Dreams.
Costa, while, was said to be on the brink of a move to the Chinese
Super League in January after stories of a bust-up with Antonio Conte.
The duo have since patched up their variations, and the Spain
international has started a Chelsea side which is pointing in on a
Premier League and FA Cup double. Despite another impressive season in
West London, Costa also wants to review his future in the summer.
“Basically, a decision on which player we are going to buy in the
summer has been made. And we have secured a verbal agreement with the
player as well as his club” – Tianjin Quanjian owner Shu Yuhui
confirmed.
