Man United season hinges on Europa league final - Phil Neville

The Red Devils will face Ajax in Stockholm, with the winner booking a place in the group stage of next season’s Champions League.
Jose Mourinho’s side finished sixth in the Premier League, as well as winning the EFL Cup at Wembley. Neville says adding another trophy would cap off a successful campaign, but failing to beat the Eredivisie giants would be seen as a poor year.
“I think it would be a brilliant season [if they win],” he told the Alan Brazil Sports Breakfast.
“You talk about assessing United’s season…it all hinges on Wednesday night.
“If they lose, you’ll look back and think actually it’s really disappointing, the EFL Cup was probably bottom of their list of priorities.
“But if they get into the Champions League and win two trophies – no other Man United manager has won a trophy in his first season, so to win two I think that could be a bit of a springboard to kick on next season, no question.

Jose Mourinho has to beat Chelsea in £17m full-back race

According to the latest reports, Manchester United are on red alert, as Chelsea are ready to hijack the Red Devil’s move for Celtic starlet Kieran Tierney, who has been linked with a departure from Scottish Premier League in the summer transfer window.

The 19-year-old full-back has impressed in his 38 appearances for the Hoops, with his stunning performances leading to a PFA Young Player of the Year nomination.

Alongside Chelsea and Man United, it is believed that Arsenal are also willing to sign Keiran Tierney, who has three caps for Scotland. But the reports from Daily Mail claim that champions elect Chelsea are now considering a summer swoop for the Celtic academy graduate.

The Manager of Scottish giants, Brendan Rodgers is reluctant to sell any of his most valuable players this summer and is said to have slapped a £17m price tag on Tierney’s head.

Chelsea head coach Antonio Conte is determined to sign a quality left-back when the window opens and is also believed to be looking at Southampton’s Ryan Bertrand, who Chelsea sold back in 2015.

It is believed that the Blues manager is also desperate to bring Southampton centre-back Virgil van Dijk at the Stamford Bridge in the summer transfer window.

Man United finally identify World-class replcement For De gea

Atletico Madrid keeper Jan Oblak is reportedly set to sign for Manchester United as Jose Mourinho prepares for David De Gea’s summer exit.

The Red Devils have shown persistent interest in 24-year-old Oblak and stories suggest the stopper’s agent has already been to Old Trafford for negotiations.
The Daily Mirror suggest the Red Devils will push the switch on the move for Oblak if De Gea completes a transfer to La Liga giants Real Madrid.
De Gea has repeatedly been linked with a return to Madrid and, while Mourinho wishes the world-class keeper remains, the club are preparing for his exit.

Jose Mourinho-The Board knows this

The Man United Manager claims he has the backing of the board.

The Red Devils look set to finish in sixth place in the Premier League table this season after a disappointing first campaign for Mourinho following his appointment last summer.

The Portuguese coach has led Manchester United to the EFL Cup title and will be hoping to add a Europa League winners’ medal to his collection when the Red Devils take on Ajax in Stockholm in next week’s final.
However, Manchester United are expected to add a number of signings to their squad in the summer as the Red Devils prepare for Mourinho’s second season in charge.
