The Man United Manager claims he has the backing of the board.
The Red Devils look set to finish in sixth place in the
Premier League table this season after a disappointing first campaign
for Mourinho following his appointment last summer.
The Portuguese coach has led Manchester United to the EFL
Cup title and will be hoping to add a Europa League winners’ medal to
his collection when the Red Devils take on Ajax in Stockholm in next
week’s final.
However, Manchester United are expected to add a number of
signings to their squad in the summer as the Red Devils prepare for
Mourinho’s second season in charge.
And the Manchester United boss has insisted that he has the full backing
of the club’s board as he gears up for his second campaign in charge.
Mourinho told Sky Sports:
“The one that I really enjoy doing is the transition from the first to
the second season because I know what I do, I know what I don’t do.
“There is work to be done. The good thing is the club knows, the board knows, I know and we are together on this process.
“It was not the kind of club and team where you were ready to arrive and to go with everything and go direct to the big titles.”
